CDL Truck Driver

Description

Nexus Labor Group is seeking dependable CDL Truck Drivers for assignments with our clients. Drivers are responsible for safely transporting freight, materials, or equipment between facilities and customer locations while maintaining accurate documentation and following applicable safety, transportation, and company procedures. Assignments may vary by client, route, equipment type, and schedule. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, reliable, communicates well with dispatch, and takes responsibility for the vehicle and cargo entrusted to them.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the assigned commercial vehicle and transport freight or materials to designated locations.
• Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Verify that cargo is properly loaded and secured before transportation.
• Review bills of lading, delivery instructions, manifests, and related documentation for accuracy.
• Follow assigned routes, schedules, and instructions from dispatch or supervisors.
• Maintain required driving, delivery, vehicle, and service records.
• Communicate delays, mechanical issues, accidents, damaged cargo, or other problems promptly.
• Maintain a safe and professional attitude at customer and client locations.
• Assist with loading or unloading when required by the assignment.
• Follow applicable DOT, state, client, and company safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL appropriate for the vehicle and assignment.
• Required endorsements when applicable.
• Ability to meet applicable driver and medical qualifications.
• Ability to complete required pre-employment drug screening.
• Ability to complete applicable background screening.
• Previous commercial driving experience is preferred.
• Resume or work history showing relevant driving experience.

$15–$41 / hour
