Sign installer/Fabrication Technician

Sign Installation / Fabrication Technician Approximately 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday. Hours may vary based on job needs, including occasional early starts, late finishes, or rare overnight work to meet client schedules. About the Role: Nexus Labor Group is seeking a reliable, hands-on team member for outdoor sign installation, fabrication, and repair work. This is a full-time, year-round outdoor position involving physical labor in all weather conditions (heat and cold). You will start by riding along and training with experienced crew members, with the goal of working independently (including driving company trucks) within 3–4 months.

Responsibilities

• -Install, repair, and assemble signs and related products using saws, drills, various tools, and fasteners
• -Work with sheet metal, basic welding skills(not required but a plus), and handle electrical wiring (120V, 12V, and 24V systems in signs)
• -Operate aerial lifts up to approximately 60 feet
• -Measure accurately with a tape measure and complete tasks precisely
• -Lift and move heavy or awkwardly shaped materials
• -Perform shop cleaning and minor maintenance tasks during downtime
• -Work both independently and as part of a team, progressing toward completing assigned installation or repair jobs with little or no supervision
• -Maintain a safe work environment at all times

Qualifications

• -Ability to pass a DOT physical
• -Willingness to work at heights (fear of heights is a significant concern for this role)
• -Must be drug-free — drug use will not be tolerated. Suspected impairment may result in a drug test; failure or impairment can lead to warning or termination due to the high-risk nature of the work (potential for serious injury, electrocution, or falls)
• -Physical ability to perform demanding outdoor labor, including lifting heavy materials
• -Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to follow instructions while also working independently
• -Basic mechanical aptitude; prior experience with tools, construction, electrical work, welding, or sign installation is a plus but not required
• Willingness to invest in your own quality trades tools over time (company provides impact guns and batteries for self-tapping hardware)

$15–$25 / hour
