Construction Laborer

Description

Nexus Labor Group is seeking experienced Construction Laborers to support commercial, industrial, and other construction projects for our clients. Construction Laborers perform hands-on work that helps keep job sites organized, safe, and productive. Assignments may include preparing work areas, moving materials, assisting skilled tradespeople, operating basic tools, performing cleanup, and completing other site-support tasks under the direction of a supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, clean, and maintain construction work areas.
  • Load, unload, move, and organize tools, equipment, and building materials.
  • Assist carpenters, electricians, plumbers, masons, and other skilled trades when assigned.
  • Perform basic demolition, digging, trenching, backfilling, or material-removal work as required.
  • Safely use basic hand and power tools appropriate to the assignment.
  • Set up or remove barricades, temporary structures, and job-site materials when instructed.
  • Remove debris and help maintain clean and accessible work areas.
  • Follow instructions from foremen, supervisors, and project managers.
  • Use required personal protective equipment and follow job-site safety procedures.
  • Report unsafe conditions, damaged tools, or worksite hazards to a supervisor.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of construction or related labor experience.
  • Familiarity with basic construction tools and job-site procedures preferred.
  • Ability to complete required drug screening.
  • Ability to complete applicable background screening.
  • Resume or work history listing relevant construction experience.
  • Ability to perform the physical duties required by the specific assignment, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.

$15–$41 / hour
